On Sunday, during a very busy weekend for our unit, our Lords Mayors cadet represented TS Sheffield at this years Battle of Britain parade in Sheffield City Centre.
They accompanied the lord mayor and lady mayoress and assisted with the wreath laying.

Well done to all the cadets that were presented with an award, promotion or qualification last night.
It was also great to see so many cadets back after the summer holidays and taking part in some engaging lessons.

We had the whole ships company down at the boating station for sailing, windsurfing, rowing and paddle sport yesterday and everyone had a great time 👍

A massive well done to our cadets that participated in Saturday's (6/6/2026) Eastern Area Sailing 
and Windsurfing Regatta.
From a long day with varying conditions, these are the results from the competition:
Windsurf 4.8 - 2nd place

Sheffield Sea Cadets has a special connection to the Royal Navy, HMS Sheffield and the HMS Sheffield Association.
On Saturday 2nd of May 2026, we were honoured to unveil a new memorial dedicated to HMS Sheffield, D80, in the presence of the HMS Sheffield Association. The new prominent location of the memorial will be visible for the current and future cadets to learn about D80 and sacrifice the 20 sailors gave in 1982.
In attendance we had the Area Officer Cdr Charlie Bagot-Jewitt RN, members of the district team, veterans and other invited guests.
As part of the unveiling, a select group of our senior cadets accepted a knitted scarf (representing the colours of the South Atlantic Medal), a trophy and a generous donation on behalf of our unit.
Once the cadets had departed, we hosted the association for their annual social event to commemorate the anniversary.
