Sutton (London Borough) Sea Cadets has successfully completed its fundraising campaign to purchase a new unit minibus that will transport cadets safely and reliably to essential water-based training.
Thanks to the generosity of local organisations, businesses, families and supporters, we have successfully raised £37,512.54 to purchase a new unit minibus.
For a Sea Cadet unit, access to water is not optional. Sailing, rowing and powerboating are essential parts of the training that build confidence, teamwork and resilience. The new minibus ensures our cadets can regularly and safely reach the water and take part in the activities that define their experience.
This achievement was only possible because of the incredible support from:
- Viridor Beddington Community Fund
- Carshalton Rotary
- Action Funder McAlpine
- Action Funder South East Water
- Clothworkers Foundation
- NatWest Bank
- ABN AMRO
- Crowdfunding campaign supporters
To everyone who donated, shared, supported and believed in the campaign, thank you. You have made a direct and lasting difference to young people in our community.
While the minibus fund is now complete, our work continues. We remain committed to giving local young people access to structured training, qualifications and life-changing experiences.
If you are a local organisation or business interested in supporting future projects, we would love to hear from you.
Together, we are building something that lasts.
