SPONSORED ROW, WALK AND COMMUNITY LITTER PICK

On Saturday 6th September 2025, cadets returned to Fishmoor for another sponsored row/walk event.

Cadets and volunteers joinined together to complete the challenge - to row and walk a combined distance of 42.7 miles 😀

They also picked litter from the perimeter of the reservoir on their way round - leaving it clean for all users!

Cadets were fundraising for another Trinity 500 to boost our rowing fleet and increase numbers on the water in the summer months.

At our August Divisions, Lt (SCC) Richardson RMR presented our 2024 Burgee to CSgt (SCC) Hamer to recognise the hardwork put in by the previous CO and his CFAVs to achieve the award.

The Burgee Award is the highest award available during our annual inspections and recognises the hard work of cadets, volunteers and UMT.

Today, cadets and volunteers joined with members of the public, Royal British Legion and 4th Battalion The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment to mark the 80th Anniversary of VJ Day with Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council.

This morning we joined representatives from Blackburn with Darwen Borough CouncilLancashire Lieutenancy and the Royal British Legion to celebrate Armed Forces Day🇬🇧

This is our opportunity to show support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving personnel to Service families, veterans and cadets.

We also recognise our Reserves ahead of Reserves Day on Wednesday 😃
