Our first boating weekend of the year is in the bag – and what a fantastic weekend it was! The sun made an appearance, the rain held off, and our cadets got stuck into a brilliant few days on the water.

Plenty of qualifications were gained, and it was great to see so much enthusiasm, teamwork, and determination from everyone involved. Well done to all who attended – a superb start to the 2025 boating season!

A massive thank you goes out to our amazing adult volunteers and UMT members who gave up their time to make this weekend possible. Without your dedication and support, events like this simply wouldn’t happen.

Following recent feedback through Cadet Voice, we’re pleased to share an update to dress regulations for the warmer months.

As always – you asked, and the SCC listened! 👍🏼

From 1st April to 1st October, cadets are now permitted to wear the new summer rig boots, available in both Brown and Black.

This change reflects the voice of our cadets and brings greater comfort and flexibility during the summer period.

Well, what can we say… our Junior Cadets had a fantastic and productive activity day at the unit today, working hard on their Yellow Modules and having plenty of fun along the way!

A massive thank you to the adult volunteers who gave up their time to help make the day run smoothly. Your support, as always, makes these days possible and creates brilliant opportunities for our youngest cadets to learn and grow.

Also, a shoutout to our Unit Chairman, who made great use of the day carrying out cleaning and essential maintenance around the building — much appreciated!
