On Sunday 11th February Fishguard Unit took part in the above competition.

Once again we had a fantastic day with the following results:-

Winners - Unarmed Drill

Runners Up - Team Piping

3rd Place - Junior Sea Cadet Comp

Very well done to all, extremly proud of what you have achieved again.

January Divisions Night

Friday 9th February saw Fishguard Sea Cadets first Divisions Night.

We had a fantastic turnout, with Fishguard & Goodwick Mayor presenting lots of badges and certificates. We had 5 new enrolled cadets, Huw, Tomos, Harry, Luke and Jack. They all recieved their Certificates, Badges and Cap.

We also presented the awards for

JUNIOR SEA CADET OF THE MONTH - Awarded to Leading Junior SAM

SEA CADET OF THE MONTH - Awarded to Able Cadet AMY

The mayor also presented the 2017 Burgee to the whole unit, with both award winners being presented the Burgee on behalf of ships company.

We finally had the opportunity to have a unit photograph with the whole ships company.


 

 

Police Dog Section Visit

Police Dog Section Visit

We would like to thank the Dyfed Powys Police Section and PC Cowper for their visit on Friday night and the demonstrations and talk to the cadets, we would also like to thank PCSO Eirian Thomas for her continued support of Fishguard Sea Cadets.

The cadets had a great time, and enjoyed the visit. This is another step to forging closer links with Dyfed Powys Police and the North Pembrokeshire Policing Team.

We would like to thank the Rotary Club of Fishguard & Goodwick for their recent donation, which will be used to support cadets on this years Jack Petchey cruise from Milford Haven to Penarth in August.

Soroptimists Support Fishguard Sea Cadets

Soroptimists Support Fishguard Sea Cadets

We are very grateful to Fishguard & District Soroptimists for their support of Fishguard Sea Cadets, your very kind support, will be used to provide bursaries for our cadets to go a week offshore in the power vessel Jack Petchey in August. Berths cost £320 each and the voyage will accomodate 12 cadets from Fishguard. Your support will provide 2 x part sponsored berths, to give these cadets the best opportunities and help them develop key skills, such as Leadership, Teamwork and most importantly friendships for life.
