Cadets Christmas Meal

This Years Cadet Christmas Meal was on the 14th December. The staff as usual waited on the cadets. There were over 40 cadets on board, which was followed by a sleepover and movie night. There were also more than 15 staff helping and the cadets had a fantastic time.

Thank you to Exec Chef Lt L Smith, who once again cooked the meal, which the cadets really enjoyed and PO Charlie Mustoe and CPO Steve Hughes for organising the whole meal and sleepover.

Hamper Presented to St Teresa's Rest Home

Fishguard Sea Cadets decided this year that they wanted to do something nice for the residents of St Teresa's Rest Home, so they collected lots of items and made a hamper, which with the support of the Parents Committee made it in to a lovely Christmas Hamper. The cadets are seen presenting the hamper to Centre Manager and residents, who were delighted with the gift. Cadet aiming to spead a little festive cheer to the residents.

West Wales District Junior Christmas Weekend

West Wales District Junior Christmas Weekend

Over the weekend of the 7th-9th December, 10 Junior Cadets from Fishguard joined up with cadets from the rest of the district to a weekend of Christmas themed activities at Milford Haven Sea Cadets. The cadets whilst very tired when leaving on the Sunday had a great time and look forward to next year's. Well done Junior Cadets!

25th Burgee in a Row!

25th Burgee in a Row!

On the 2nd December it was announced that Fishguard had once again been awarded a Burgee for the 25th time in a row. A Burgee is the Highest efficiency award, awarded to a Sea Cadet Unit, and is a sign of the standrda set at Fishguard Sea Cadets. The Burgee is based on a number of criteria, inc Training, Training delivery, boating hours, activities provided, promotions, volunteer training, cadet experience, boats and equipment, uniforms and dress standard, facilities and unit management, health & safety as so much more. To maintain this standard for so long is a testement to the hard working cadets and off course the volunteers who put in so much so that the Youth of Fishguard, Goodwick and the surrounding communities can all avail of the fabtastic opportunities available to them through Sea Cadets.

District 5 Aside Football Success

On Saturday the 1st December Fishguard Unit took 5 teams to the West Wales 5 Aside Football Competition at Tenby Leisure Centre

The results are as follows:-

Senior Boys - Runners Up

Junior Girls - Runners Up

Junior Boys - Winners

Junior Sea Cadets - Runners Up

A fantastic achievement once again, and thank you to everyone who helped train you. The Winners will now go through to the Area Competition on 26th January in Gloucester
