British Legion Affiliation
On 12th September 2013, we welcomed on board a delegation from the British Legion for the Certificate of Affiliation presentation ceremony.
New Managment Comittee
On 19th August a new Management Committee for the Unit was elected. The new team is:
Teresa Smith (Chairwoman), Chris Knapton (Officer in Charge), Yvonne McDonagh (Vice Chair) Karin Barkworth (Treasurer), Shabana Lewis (Parent Rep), Rashilla Blackham, Peter Goring and Sue Linley

Summer BBQ
Come and join us at our Summer BBQ on Saturday 6th July 2013, from 3pm till late at Underbank Reservoir, Oaks Lane, Stocksbridge, S36 4GH. Entry is free. All families and friends are welcome to join in a fun packed day of activities which will include a BBQ, water sports, treasure hunt, rigging, camoflauge, games, raffle and much more. Come along and meet the cadets, staff and parents from the Unit.
Armed Forces Day
A National Armed Forces and Veterans Day Parade was held in the Sheffield City Centre on Saturday 22nd June 2013. The parade was made up of serving and retired service personnel who were accompanied by a marching band and cadets. The rain stopped just in time as the parade made its way from Norfolk Row to the Peace Gardens where the crowds were addressed by the Lord Mayor, Vickie Priestly.
