On Saturday 11th July 15, Scimitar attended the North West Area Rowing Competition with two teams - Junior Girls & Junior Boys Teams. Both teams were successful & came 2nd place in both categories. Well Done to all who put time on training & attendees!

St Helens Sea Cadets are hosting a Trafalgar Dinner. 

We are still in the planning stages of this event, however please keep this date free in your calenders as this will be a fantastic night.

Tickets will go on sale in the next couple of weeks, the cost of the tickets will be £25.

OC Adam Johnson has reported having an amazing and life changing experience on the International Exchange Programme in Bermuda. On 20th July 15, Adam delivered a presentation to the Ship's Company to inform them of the various activities her undertook and to encourage the other ship mates to follow the same path. We would like to thank the Marine Society & Sea Cadets for making this possible of course TS Admiral Somers - St Georges Sea Cadets for looking after Adam!

On the 4th July 2015, Scimitar and her crew collected vital funds for Help For Heroes Charity at Asda in St Helens. Thank you to everyone that contributed. We raised a massive £290 to such a good cause. Bravo Zulu!

This year saw TS Scimitar at it's strongest. The unit held many local stalls from around St Helens and put on several shows of Dance, Music & of course, Serious Fun! This event also seen the annual Army vs Navy Tug of War Match with the Navy won last year. Once again the Navy won this match and retain their title. A big thank you to everyone that attended and made this event truly successful. A special mention to our Chairperson, Samantha Thompson who went above the call of duty to arrange this event.
