Scimitar's crew assist the Merseyside East...

Some of Scimitar's ships company (OC Johnson, CDT C O'Neil & CDT D Gibson) were selected to form part of the Merseyside East District Drill team that was to be entered into the North West Area Drill Competition 2015 (March). They were successful and came 1st in the Unarmed Drill category. This means they will be entering the National Drill Competition representing North West Area. Well Done to all involved, especially to our shipmates!

On Thursday 19th March, Scimitar cadets (LC S Duff, CDT SGT O Pedder-Platt & CFC L Makepeace) took part in the Merseyside East Seamanship competition at West Derby Sea Cadet unit.

St Helens (Scimitar) came 2nd by a close half-a-mark win by West Derby.

Congratulations to all the teams that took part. Bravo Zulu to our Scimitar Team for their hard work and sheer determination throughout.

On Thursday 12th March 15, St Helens Unit hosted the Merseyside East District Engineering Competition. This competition was quiz-based. Scimitar entered her own team (LCPL J Fenney, CPL J Pedder-Platt & OC S Bull) and they came 1st place. This is a great achievement for St Helens and her crew. Congratulations to all teams that entered. #westrike

On Thursday 12th March 15, Scimitar's Junior Cadets held a stall at Stand Easy during the District Engineering Competition and raised £46 for Red Nose Day in aid of Comic Relief. Congratulations!

Leading Cadet Duff has visited the Royal Navy Board this week in an important meeting outlining this years plan of activities. More details to follow in time.

This is the first time that TS Scimitar has had a Navy Board Cadet. Very exciting times indeed.
