It was an absolute honour and privilege to attend the Lord Lt of Dyfed Awards ceremony at Picton Barracks., Carmarthen last Thursday evening to witness our Chairman Capt Chris Burge MN collect his Certificate of Merit and Ex LC Huw Jenkins collect his Certificate for his year in office.

Capt Chris Burge has been our Chairman for the past 28 years and has steered the unit through many changes and through a £800,000 building refurbishment as well as organising so many fundraisers and his now famous Trafalgar Night.

LC Huw Jenkins was collecting his Certificate and Badge for his 12 months in office as Lord Lt Cadet for Dyfed in 2017/18, which he completed to an extremely high standard

The Lord Lt thanked them both for their loyal service and dedication to Fishguard Sea Cadets

It was an extremely proud moment for Fishguard and also for me as CO and I congratulate them both on their thoroughly deserving award
