We are pleased to welcome S/Lt (SCC) Dan Tench RNR to the Command Team as he takes up the post of Officer in Charge for Kirkby and Liverpool North Unit.

We would also like to thank PO(SCC) Andy Hulme for his commitment and hard work during his time as Officer in Charge.

We are pleased to announce that PO Hulme is remaining with the unit and will continue to support the unit as a member of instructional staff

Congratulations and Good Luck, we can't wait to see what the future holds!

It was with great delight towards the end of 2021 when our Commanding Officer was called to Liverpools Anglican Cathedral to be presented with a Meritous Award,  He also appeared in his employee magazine who also celebrated his Award. 

The award was issued by Merseysides Lord Lieutenant Mark Blundell. ( Pictured with Chief Lloyd)

During Lockdown the staff at Kirkby and Liverpool North when restrictions were lifted continued to progress through the assistant sailing scheme and finally to complete there courses following multiple cancellations and set backs especially bad weather.  

Keith, Andy and Karl.  All Passed with flying colours and are now able to assist during the summer when sailing is allowed.    BZ to all involved and a big thanks to staff at Crosby Boating Station for making it happen 

Enabling more Cadets to take part in summer activities is what this team is all about.  

Announced this week, Sea Cadets at Kirkby have received a certificate of commendation from Captain Phillip Russell who along with other units received national awards presented at this time of year to those units that have achieved

It is with great delight to all staff and cadets to be chosen. 

The return of the spring will see cadets returning to the water, aboard one of the new yachts, and closer to home for regular sail, rowing, power boat training.   Get involved.....
