Announced this week, Sea Cadets at Kirkby have received a certificate of commendation from Captain Phillip Russell who along with other units received national awards presented at this time of year to those units that have achieved

It is with great delight to all staff and cadets to be chosen. 

The return of the spring will see cadets returning to the water, aboard one of the new yachts, and closer to home for regular sail, rowing, power boat training.   Get involved.....   

Cadets and staff accepted the challenge to collect presents for a liverpool charity that supports homeless mums and children throughout the year. Inspiration led to the ( operation Christmas ) call from district volunteer Jean Cooney from Liverpool West Derby Unit. Jean also helped raise a fantastic 230 pound in October to help cadets on an away day to the croxteth trail in Chester. Staff and cadets were overjoyed when they got a chance to assist her with her operation. 

Jean attended the cadet Christmas disco to collect the presents. 

We are very pleased to announce that Kirkby Sea Cadets have just been awarded a Pennant award for efficiency for 2012.  This means that we are meeting the needs of our young people in all respects including training, safety, environment and wefare.
