*** Unit RNP (Royal Navy Parade) 2025 ***
TS Iron Duke proudly hosted our Royal Navy Parade, attended by esteemed guests including the Southern Area Officer, Zulu Coy 2iC, and the DDO.
The evening commenced with a formal inspection, followed by a showcase of our sea cadets' and junior cadets' skills on the water, while others engaged in training sessions or debated Royal Marine-themed videos. After a refreshment break, we were treated to two informative presentations: Leading Cadet Tom shared his experiences at the Junior Field Gun competition, and Cadet Sergeant Jacob discussed his recent national Sgt's promotion board.
The evening concluded with evening colours, a presentation by the AO promoting NEC Kobe to Cadet, and the recognition of several notable achievements, including a Class 2 power qualification for Ordinary Cadet Daisy and Junior Cadet First Class Yassine his Blue badge for boating, and the awarding of the CO's Cup to Lt Cdr Fleming and finally 12 year Cadet Forces Medal was awarded to PO Duckmanton.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all cadets, staff, and parents for their tireless efforts and dedication over the past year, without which our successes would not be possible.
It was great for our cadets and parents to meet our Area Officer, Zulu Coy 2iC and the DDO.
This evening saw our Berkshire District Sea Cadets kayak polo and cross stream teams making some final preparations ahead of this weekends Southern Area Sea Cadets area paddlesports regatta!
Well done to those taking part for always putting in maximum effort and for showing some great teamwork and amazing skills!
Thank you to the staff and supporters that help make this happen!
Good luck!!!
New Anchor Fitted at Our Sea Cadets Unit! ![]()
We’re excited to share that we’ve had a beautiful anchor installed on the wall outside our unit! This isn’t just a striking addition—it’s a proud symbol of our maritime heritage, our values of strength and stability, and the journey each cadet undertakes.
A huge thank you to phil_webb_creations who helped make this happen. It's a small addition with big meaning for our cadets, volunteers, and wider community.
Drop by and take a look next time you’re passing the unit—and let us know what you think!
